The admin panel is a tool to allow any organization to create or mint tokens, to allow parent organizations allocate tokens to child-organizations, to track transactions among all intermediaries and their users’ wallet, and to manage access rights to the control panel or to sensitive information. The tool aims to facilitate organization on a private blockchain.
Hierarchy of the organization was established from a wallet ownership perspective. Each parent-organization’s wallet will have authority over multiple child-organizations’ wallets, while each child-organization’s wallet will, in turn, have authority over many users’ wallets. Tracking tokens ratios and activities among various levels of owners was the key goal for the admin panel.

Targeted organizations consisted of existing businesses containing users who most likely had little to no experiences with the blockchain. The design therefore needed to utilize familiar design patterns from web2 to help users navigate.
Simultaneously, good information architecture needed to be maintained to lay out the access-levels of each organization within the hierarchy. Competitive analysis and interviews were performed to define which design pattern helped admin users make sense of information and which felt most familiar.

As the platform needed to provide similar controls for parent-organizations and child-organizations, the design patterns were duplicated. Emphasis was placed on labels to help users navigate and prevent confusion. Reusing most of the design components also helped save implementation time.

The admin panel is a tool to help organizations mint, distribute, burn and analyze token usage. It allows them to oversee data from mobile wallets on the consumer's side and preview transaction data from the block explorer within the platform. This helps users who are new to blockchain navigate seamlessly in one place with familiar design patterns to the web2. Based on feedback from our business development team, this intuitive design encourages potential clients to use our technology.
